Be the Change with Taneika Duhaney (Episode 72)

In this Episode

This week on the show Kathryn and Kristi catch up with cyclist and gravel lover Taneika Duhaney. She talks about how her young daughter got her inspired to take her riding from indoor trainer bike to out on the open roads, and how she got hooked on gravel through a scholarship opportunity that allowed her to dive head on into the sport. Taneika dared herself to get into gravel riding after realizing that she never saw other people of color in the sport. Her motto in life is “be the change that you want to see” and she continues to live out that mantra, and to set an example for her young daughter. Part of this is her MiniMe bike series that aims to get moms out on bikes teaching their daughters how to ride. Her mission is to normalize and encourage other moms to get out and ride with their kids.
