This week on Girls Gone Gravel, Kathryn and Kristi chat with cyclist and tennis player, Kristine Johnson. Kristine tells us about how she went from tennis player to bike racer after meeting her now husband Steve, who was the Athletic Director for USAC. She explains how the community of feisty women that she met at cycling events prompted her to start her own women’s masters cycling team.
Kristine also speaks openly about the loss of her son Craig, and the impact that he had on the cycling community in Kansas. She encourages all of us to appreciate the sport and use it to create cherished memories with those closest to us.
