On this week’s Mini Episode we catch Haley’s chat with Kris Teidt, Head Coach of the Women’s NCAA Triathlon Team at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The 2020 fall semester was meant to mark the inaugural triathlon competition season for the team, but the season was unfortunately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On top of this, Cedar Rapids was hit by a devastating derecho windstorm that caused widespread damage throughout the city. Kris tells us how the community came together to recover from the storm, and the effects that it had on the start of the school year. We also hear about how she and the rest of the coaching staff at Coe College are working to keep the triathlon team motivated and on-track with their training despite the cancelled race season.
