This week’s episode features two special interviews! Up first, we hear from Heidi Lueb. Heidi is an age group triathlete, mom, and currently in her second term as a city council member in Tigard, OR. Then Haley and Alyssa chat with Emily Swett. Emily is a swim coach, entrepreneur, and also a city council member in her town of Cody, WY. Both women tell us how they got involved in their local political scene, and how their sport backgrounds have helped them to succeed in their roles. They also give listeners their best recommendations on how we can get involved in politics in our own areas to advocate for change and bring fresh voices to the table.
