Race Directing Behind the Scenes

In this Episode

As athletes, we all know how much work goes in behind the scenes in order to perform come race day. We might not be as familiar, however, with just how much effort is put in to the organization of the events themselves.

After her amazing second place finish, Haley got to interview Loreto Díaz, the race director of Challenge Puerto Varas. They discuss how she got into this work, as well as how she hopes to give back to the Chilean community through the race. Beyond that, Loreto touches on the unique perspective that she brings to race directing as a woman and a mother.

Loreto has big aspirations for her race directing team, and for Puerto Varas as a competition destination, so we can’t wait to see how that develops in the future!
